The Swiss national football team has represented Switzerland on the international stage since 1905. The A-team's greatest achievement was winning the silver medal at the 1924 Summer Olympics; the junior squad's finest hour came in 2009 with the U17 World Championship title. The 1960s marked the beginning of a barren spell that lasted nearly 30 years. National coach Roy Hodgson ended that drought, guiding the team to qualification for the 1994 World Cup and Euro 1996. Under Köbi Kuhn, Switzerland qualified for Euro 2004 and the 2006 World Cup. Ottmar Hitzfeld then secured qualification for the 2010 and 2014 World Cups. Vladimir Petković led the Swiss national team to Euro 2016 in France and the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Since 2021, Murat Yakin has been national coach. He secured qualification for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and Euro 2024 in Germany. Come on Switzerland!

Present at major tournaments

At European and World Championships where our national team competes, we attend the Swiss matches and several other interesting fixtures. We have been present at final tournaments in the USA, England, South Korea, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland/Austria, South Africa, Poland, Brazil and France.
